Love you Aunt Betty. Recall you as a young woman before Bryce was born. You were a favorite Aunt and I loved you and knew loved me. So many wonderful memories of your wonderful artistic talents, your spice cake, your painting of a light house, the hours Mother and I spent with you and Bryce. In my mind I see that beautiful, soft spoken woman.....Dawn

I just discovered that Betty passed away back in January.  I knew Betty and Emory when I was a youngster growing up in Fitzgerald, Georgia.  They were very important to me at an early age through their work at our church.  Betty was a dear, beautiful, precious lady whom I will always love.  She called me by my first name, William, and although I have always gone by my middle name that was forever endearing to me.  I wrote an earlier note about Emory when I found out he was gone.  I knew Bryce as a child.  Elaine had not yet been born the last time I saw Betty and Emory when I visited them in Tallahassee in the Spring of 1960.  So sad to see that they are already gone as well.  I will never forget Betty and Emory and will always be enormously grateful for their influence and impact on my life and values during those early years.  Blessings to all of you who are fortunate enough to be their family.

Our love and prayers go out to Betty's family. She was a good women, and will be greatly missed.

Betty was a special lady. We count ourselves blessed to have known her and Emory during the years they attended First Christian Church. Every conversation with them, we truly felt their love, care, and kindness. We love them both. Betty, you will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Mann was a sweet and caring person who holds a special place in my heart. She was one of the first people to contact our family after the death of my mother and father. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

My husband and I loved Mrs. Mann very much!  She taught me how to hug people, and I hug people like that every day.  You always knew how much she loved you. She had such strength in her.   I have missed her so much over the years, and am sadden now that the deer are no longer in her yard, and the Mann's sign is not hanging.

We loved Betty and Emory so much, what sweet, gentle people!  We were privileged to worship with them both for many years at First Christian Church, and have missed her so much.  We would Christmas Carol at her house every year, and she loved having the young people come in for cookies.  Larry would honk as he drove by, seeing her working in her garden, and he loved her apple cake!  I just loved visiting with her and hearing her stories.  Such a lovely lady! She and Emory will live in our hearts forever.  We send our love and wishes for peace to each of her family.  She rests quietly in the Lord's arms.

I am so sorry for the loss of Betty.  She was a wonderful christian lady.

What a blessing to have been a part of Betty's life.I know you all feel the same way. She was like a second mother to me and always showed me love.Many visits during the summers were spent at Uncle Emory and Betty's house where  she taught me a lot about painting pictures with water color. She always made me feel special and had lots of patience with me.Her laughter was a delight and I have many cherished memories about being with them all my life through.
