
Bjarne Becker "Tripp" Andersen, III of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away, May 20, 2012.
He was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on August 7, 1954. His family lived in Daytona Beach and Jacksonville before settling in Tallahassee where he raised his family. He was married to Joann Andersen for 33 years. Tripp was an alumni of Leon High School and Tallahassee Community College where he achieved an Associate in Arts Degree. He worked for Florida Rock/Vulcan Industries for 30+ years in various positions such as a driver, plant superintendent and training coordinator. He was an active member of Capitol City Cyclists, was a concrete truck enthusiast and historian.
He was survived by his wife, Joann; and two children, Johnathan Bjarne and wife Lauren of Oakland, California and Linda Elizabeth of New York, New York; mother, Gloria Andersen of Tallahassee, Florida; and three sisters, Trellis Mansfield of Jacksonville, Florida, Trina Lawrence and husband Dan of Leclede, Idaho, and Tracy Merritt and husband Jeff of Monticello, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 4 o'clock pm, May 24, 2012 at Pisgah United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leon County Humane Society, Stubbs Educational Foundation for Music Scholarships, and Capitol City Cyclists.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
