

Carl attended school in Vernon, FL. He also served his country for three years in the Army Air Force. Carl and his wife Marie came to Tallahassee in 1948, where he began his career as a building contractor. He built many beautiful homes in Tallahassee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marie Cotton Hightower; one daughter, Linda Hightower; one granddaughter, Kayla Marie Bellflower; two great grandchildren, Joseph Calvin Burke and Kennedy Elaine Bellflower, all of Tallahassee; one sister, Margaret Hightower Carter, of Graceville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Clark Hightower; and his four brothers, Nash, Ardis, Oakley, and Earl Hightower.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (EST). Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm (EST) Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL. Interment will follow at New Hope United Methodist Church, 4531 Highway 79, Vernon, FL at 4:00 pm (EST).
