Carolyn Chambers Townsend

Carolyn Chambers Townsend,94, of Tallahassee, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2022. Born April 16, 1928 in Colquitt, GA, she was the daughter of the late Edd Green Chambers, and Sarah Mosely Chambers.

She went home to rejoice with those who went before her. She is now with her Husband of 48 years, her 6 brothers, 2 sisters and her Grandson.

Carolyn is survived by her Daughter, Son-in-law, a Son, her sister and brother, 4 grandchildren, her caregiver and many other relatives and friends. They will treasure her memory forever.

Carolyn was devoted in her Faith and enjoyed her old gospel Hymns that she listened to on repeat. She also loved to marvel in the beauty of many colorful flowers and the nature around her. Carolyn worked in many different fields throughout her life. She was a secretary, a teaching assistant, seamstress and homemaker. Carolyn knew her life was bigger than herself and devoted her career to helping and loving others. Whether she was helping her students at school or designing and making clothes for her children she put her heart and soul in everything she did. She was a light to all those who knew her.

A family graveside service for Carolyn will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
