

Charles Manning Watson,80, a loving husband of Billie (Good) Watson, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2012.
By many of his family, he was known as "Papa." An amazing, kind, devoted family man he was born and raised in Greenville, SC the son of Herman Manning Watson and Dora Kelly Watson. He proudly served in the US Air Force for 4 years. In 1959 he started and founded Tallahassee Beauty Supply. After his retirement in 1979, he became a building contractor, known as C.M. Watson Builders. He was the Past Potentate of the Marzuq Shrine Temple. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason. He dedicated many years to the crippled and burned children. He was a devoted Christian of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Good Watson; a son, Richard D. Watson, of Tallahassee; a daughter, Cindy W. Shiver (Gary Sr.); and three beautiful grandchildren, Gary Shiver, Jr. (Ashly), Bryan Shiver, Natalie Mills (Roger); and five great-grandchildren whom he adored.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Watson, his mother, Dora Watson, and his brother, Harold Watson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior at Culley's MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marzuq Shrine Temple for the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
