Cohen Laverne Bond passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 27th 2025 at the age of 71. A man of intellectual depth and traditional skill, he will be remembered for his vibrant hobbies and his dedication to his family.
As a lifelong history buff, Cohen possessed a remarkable eye for detail. This was most evident in his historical model painting and his strategic approach to war games. He loved participating in the Civil War Re-Enactments. He found great joy in the discipline of bagpipes and was a member of the Tallahassee Pipe Band. He felt most at home in the outdoors while he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tanya Bond, and his father, Robert Bond.
His memory is honored and kept Alive by his mother Rose Bond, and his sister Pamela Bond. He leaves behind his daughters Michele Rizer (spouse Stacey) and Sacha Evans (spouse Brian).
He was a proud grandfather to Dalton Rizer (spouse Chloe), Gabe Rizer, Brandon Evans (spouse Katy Ann), and Cassidy Bunch (spouse Brad).
The family will hold a private service to scatter his ashes. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you raise a glass, visit a historical site or take a moment in the great outdoors in his honor.
