

Dwight Ray Rhoden (79) passed away suddenly on January 10, 2026. He was born in Lake City, Florida and raised in Macclenny, the son of Maxie and Phillipie Rhoden, who predeceased him. Dwight served in the Army in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne division. After the Army he worked for 20 years at the railroad in Jacksonville, followed by a second career at Sears.
In 1997 Dwight and Myra married in Jacksonville. They moved to Tallahassee to continue their careers until retirement. After retirement he became an active member in the Tallahassee Moose Lodge in 2007, where he volunteered and held several offices. In April 2022 he went on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Dwight loved life, always had a smile and a joke to share. He loved to sing karaoke at the lodge and other places around town.
Dwight is survived by his wife of 28 years, Myra. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathy Farrar of Appomattox, VA and Janice Crews of Macclenny, Florida. He is predeceased by his brother, Jerry Rhoden, who passed in 2024.
Funeral services are scheduled at the Tallahassee National Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 2nd, 2026. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Moose Lodge, 1478 N.W. Capital Circle, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
