

She was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on January 21, 1930. Evelyn was a proud wife to Martin Hewson, Jr. and a proud mother of David, Sandra and Pamela. She doted on her husband and family.
Evelyn and Martin lived across the street from each other as teenagers and formed a bond early in their lives. Upon Martin’s return from serving in World War II, he and Evelyn married. Martin became a pharmacist and Evelyn a homemaker and together they owned and operated a drugstore until Martin’s retirement. Martin and Evelyn raised their children in Hawthorne, New Jersey, but many of their best memories with their children, niece and nephews were from time spent at their vacation home in Chadwick Beach, New Jersey. Upon Martin’s retirement, Martin and Evelyn relocated from New Jersey to Boynton Beach, Florida.
“Nana” or “Auntie” is survived by her Grandchildren, Lauren Kasica (William Bissell), Benjamin Kasica, Michelle Hewson, Robert Hewson, and David Hewson, Jr. as well as her Daughter-in-Law Diane Hewson and her niece and nephews, Linda Rutledge (Danny Rutledge), Tom Wall (Scott Conking), Bill Wall (Jim Rodgers).
A a celebration of life for Evelyn will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Culleys MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
