Evelyn Pace

Evelyn Louise Hickman Pace, 77, of Tallahassee, FL, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born April 29, 1935, in Albany, Clinton Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Daisy Huddleston Hickman and Balis Louis Hickman.

She graduated from Florida State University with a PhD in Social Work. Before retiring she was a Social Worker for the State of Florida specializing in Elder Care.

She is survived by seven children: Franklin Pace (Vickie) of Glasgow, KY, Cindy McGuire (Larry) of LeGrande, KY, John Pace (Debbie) of Glasgow, KY, Marcia Pace of Tallahassee, FL., David Pace (Tammy) of Glasgow,KY, Roy Pace (Amy) of Glasgow, KY, and Jo Lena Pace of Tallahassee, FL.; 10 grandchildren: Tori Aiken, Nick Pace, Michael McGuire, Daphne Solberg, Tyler Pace, April Pace, David Allen Pace, Devan Myers, Logan Pace and Landon Pace; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Balis “Buck” Hickman of New Mexico, Cecil “Jack” Hickman of Nevada, Edward “Jim” Hickman of Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Huff.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 8th. in Albany, KY.
