

She was born on May 22, 1920, to Dr. Milton and Mrs. Eva Funderburk Minter in Donalsonville, Georgia. Dell was a graduate of Asbury College in Wilmore, KY where she met Victor J. Schroeder, Sr. She and Rev. Schroeder were married in 1946 and during their marriage they served churches in Georgia, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri. Subsequently, Mrs. Schroeder was employed as a teacher and administrative secretary for Northside United Methodist Church in Atlanta. She moved to Tallahassee in 2003 following her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn and son, Roff, sisters, O'Meara Wurst and Lydia Driskell, and brothers,
Merrian and Harris Minter.
She is survived by her daughte,r Susannah Caulley (Tom) and son, V. John Schroeder, Jr., former husband, Victor Schroeder;
nieces and nephews, Gloria Priest, Foster Wurst, Margaret Hitchins (John), Milton Minter (Carolyn), Harris Minter, Jr.,
and Mary Eva Day (Frank); friend and caregiver Lena Simmonds; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 27 in the Burleigh Law Chapel at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
