

Frank Gustavus Hendrick, IV passed away Wednesday morning January 20, 2016 at the age 56. Gus was born July 21, 1959 in Columbus, Georgia. He grew up in Hurtsboro, Alabama where he lived until moving to Tallahassee, Florida in 1991, where he lived until his death. Gus was preceded in death by his wife Donna R. Hendrick, his parents Frank Gustavus ,and Shirley Holley Hendrick of Hurtsboro, AL.Gus is survived by his son, daughter in law, and grandson, Franklin Gustavus Meredith and Gilbert Franklin Harris. He is also survived by three sisters: Holley Hendrick Beezley (David), Kimberly Hendrick Adams (Johnny), and Pamela Hendrick Kelley (Ron), as well as four nieces and one nephew. Gus graduated from Woodland Christian Academy in Phenix City, AL in 1978 where he was a prominent member of both the football and basketball teams during his high school career. Gus and his wife Donna were successful business owners (A Cut Above) in the Tallahassee area where they lived for 25 years. Gus had a zest for life and was known and loved by many for his larger than life personality in both Tallahassee and his home town of Hurtsboro. A memorial services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 3:30pm (EST) in Tallahassee FL, in the Chapel at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee FL. Funeral services will held on Sunday, January 24,2016 at 2:00pm (CST) at Hurtsboro United Methodist Church 607 Church Street, Hurtsboro, AL 36860.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at 82 Reeves Road, Hurtsboro, AL 36860, and request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Hurtsboro Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 535, Hurtsboro, AL 36860.
