Gary Betzoldt, 75, passed away on June 24, 2016 in Tallahassee, FL after a nearly 7 year battle with cancer. Gary retired at the age of 55 from Publix Supermarkets after 36 years, almost all as a store manager. Gary knew how to enjoy life whether he was headed out for an early morning fishing trip or tee time, traveling with family to the cabin in NC or camping with the Good Sam's/Forever Friends RV club. He also enjoyed traveling with friends to Mexico and Mackinac Island. Gary was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Betzoldt and son, Dean Betzoldt. Gary is survived by his daughters, Kitty Betzoldt and Rhonda May (Jack) of Tallahassee and grandsons, Alex May and Nick May.
Visitation will be held June 28, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at Culley's on Timberlane Road in Tallahassee with Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Catholic Church the following day at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the canine charity of your choice.
