
Born in Bronxville on 08/6/1939, he was the youngest son of Samuel A. Stacey and Ursula M. Stacey. Harry started his military career by serving in the Air Force and then enlisting in the United States Coast Guard and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Moved to Tallahassee in 1978 and worked for over 20 years at The Florida State University. At Florida State University, Harry worked in the Personnel Department in the Employee and Labor Relations section. Once retired from Florida State, Harry served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 1-2 out of Saint Marks, Florida.
He is survived by his brother, Raymond D. Stacey; sons, Harry W. Stacey, Jr., Thomas and Susan Stacey (Fort Greely, Alaska), David and Sarah Stacey (Tallahassee); Brother-in-law Thomas P. Mcnally and Sister-in-law Joanne Mcnally; grandchildren, Quiara Stacey, Kayla Stacey (Florida), Shelby Stacey, Thomas Joseph Stacey, and Grace Elizabeth Stacey (Fort Greely,Alaska), Shantracia Tucker; great-grandchild, Nevaeh Tucker.
Preceded in death by his brother, Samuel J. Stacey (San Diego, California); and his loving wife of over 47 years, Irene J. Stacey.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22nd at Culley's Funeral Home on Timberlane Road. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
