

James Lowell Wirth, 79, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023 at Aspire of Tallahassee. He was the beloved brother of Dennis Wirth (Bonnie) and sister Susan Wirth Conlon of Tallahassee. He was an uncle to 8 nieces and nephews.
Jim was born on October 29, 1944 in Waukegan, Illinois to Lowell Wirth and Gwen Wirth. He attended public schools through the ninth grade followed by an occupational training program. This program prepared him for a career at the VA Hospital in North Chicago as a food service worker. Due to a seizure disorder, he retired on disability after 29 years of service. Throughout his career he received several commendations for his work performance.
During his adult life, Jim enjoyed bowling, travel, church, and family activities. He also enjoyed theatre, musical performances, and games such as bingo and corn toss.
Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother as well as a close cousin, John Soderman. He is survived by 2 close cousins, Mary Delaney of Tallahassee and Dolly Lewis of Englewood, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at a reception following the memorial service.
