Jane Sherburne

She was born on October 9, 1936, in Nashville, TN. One of her first and favorite jobs was as a stewardess for Northwest Orient Airlines. She held various other jobs afterwards, but she was an artist at heart. Later in life, she moved to Marianna, Florida, where she raised two twin children, Robyn Elizabeth and Matthew Thomas, until leaving in 1980. Jane then made her home in Tallahassee for the better part of the past 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Robyn Elizabeth Sherburne.

Jane is survived by her son, Matthew Thomas Sherburne of Jacksonville, Florida, a granddaughter, Leila Taibi, of Tampa, Florida, and a sister, Maria Peckham Eldridge of Blountstown, Florida.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, July 2, at 11 AM, at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 3413 Old Bainbridge Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32303. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, or Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
