

She passed away on Sunday, May 8 with her family at her side. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12 from 5pm-7pm at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 1737 Riggins Road. A funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, May 13 at 11:00am at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Tallahassee (Tennessee and Woodward).
Jean is survived by her two devoted children, daughter, Dawn Ferris Jiménez and husband Alexander, her son, Eric Ferris and wife, Vanessa, and three loving grandchildren, Gabriela Marie Jiménez, Alyssa Victoria Jiménez and Samuel David Ferris. She is also survived her brothers-in-law Mike Ferris and wife Barbara and Stanley Ferris of Hoopa, CA and numerous nieces and nephews in Massachusetts and California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulyssis Samuel Ferris, her parents Stanley and Mary Bienia, and two brothers, Charles and Raymond Bienia.
Prior to moving to Tallahassee Jean was a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. “Jean- Bean,” as her loved ones often called her, was in her element when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to garden, and teach her granddaughters how to paint and cook. She loved reading books to her grandson and hearing his voice on the telephone. She took time to make all holidays special for her family. Her irrepressible smile, sharp wit, and selfless generosity will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
