Jennifer McFail Hernandez, 55, of Tallahassee died Friday (9/21) at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. A native of Greenwich, Connecticut she came to Tallahassee in 1988 from St Petersburg-Tampa area. She had earned her master’s degree from the University of South Florida and then worked for 28 years with the State of Florida as a systems programmer. Jennifer enjoyed reading and taking walks with her family and dog. She also loved the beach and skiing. Family was important to her and she spent as much time with family as possible and even had taken care of both her grandmothers until their deaths. She was an organ donor and saved three (3) lives with her passing.
Jennifer is survived by her husband: Tony; daughter: Teresa; brother: Chris (Greg Toth) McFail of Clearwater; sisters: Julie (Jeff) Weingarz of Sycamore, IL, and Janet McFail of New Mexico.
For friends who wish, the family suggests memorial donations to Jennifer's favorite charity, the local: St. Vincent De Paul Society.
