He was born in Abbeville, Alabama on October 13, 1935. Jimmy graduated from Paxon High School in Jacksonville, Florida in 1955. He was married to Charlotte Bell Holmes on January 27, 1956. Jimmy was a liquor associate for many years, and he had a passion for all things Florida Gators. In addition to his wife Charlotte, he is survived by his five children: Dianna Brozyna (David), Matt Holmes (Joy), Robin Everett (Terry), Chris Holmes (Lisa), and Lisa Whitlow; his grandchildren: Christian Waugh (Jen), Adam Waugh (Jessica), Shelby Ustad (Matt), Brandon Jerkins (Erica), Rachel Felker (Nick), Ashley Whitfield (Brandon), Michael Holmes (Alicia), Chelsea Peters (Anthony), Nicholas Holmes (Emily), Gabby Holmes, Mikayla Jerkins, Charis McCall (Wesley), and Jacob Jerkins; and 21 great grandchildren (with two more on the way!); his brother Leon Holmes; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
