Joanne Wintenburg Davenport, 90, passed peacefully into Heaven on April 9, 2017. She was born on August 5th, 1926 in Dorset, MN. Her family moved to Florida when she was still an infant. Most of her life she resided in Tallahassee with her husband Bob and her two children, where they ran a retail pottery business. Joanne was an avid volunteer in many areas of the community, but her favorite place was at the church every Friday where she helped run the "Press Club."
She was the last survivor of her 9 siblings. She was preceded in death by her son Michael, and her husband Bobby. She is survived by her daughter Barbara, granddaughter Jennifer, and many friends and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, April 28 at 3PM at St. John's Episcopal Church. For those who desire, the interment will be Saturday, April, 29, at 2PM at Culley's MeadowWood Cemetery on Timberlane Road.
