John Dixon Pugh

John "Dixon" Pugh passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2011.

Born November 3, 1948, Dixon played football and later graduated from Florida High School. He attended Wolford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and graduated in 1970. He went on to Florida State University where he obtained a Master's Degree. Dixon loved fishing and was an avid football fan. Dixon worked as a Pharmaceutical Representative for over 20 years before his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Caroline Johnson (Dean) of Tallahassee, Florida; his brother, Griffith Pugh of Columbia, South Carolina; sister, Clelia Moore (Cliff) of Columbia, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Meredith, Henry, Thomas, Jack and Madeline Johnson; and his longtime beloved companion, Teresa Knight.

A Celebration of Dixon's life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 11:00am.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy at 158 Linwood Plaza, Suite 220 Fort Lee, NJ 07024
