Joseph "Joe" Jasper Carroll Sr.

Mr. Joseph "Joe" Jasper Carroll, 78, of Tallahassee, passed away on August 18, 2015, at Capital Regional Medical Center. Joseph was born March 17, 1937, in Woodville, Florida to J.Z. and Martha Carroll. He proudly served his country in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. He married the former Rubie Marks, the love of his life. Ever the hard worker, Joseph worked for Sears for 21 years and entered into retirement. Being a man of faith, he attended Heritage Assembly of God in Tallahassee where he served devotedly.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rubie Marks Carroll of Tallahassee; Son, Joseph “Jody” Carroll, II (Sara) of Tallahassee; Daughters, Lawanda Williams (Re’Dino) of Crawfordville and Loretta Sloan (Calvin) of Crawfordville; Sisters, Janie Lee Gray (Lewis) of Tallahassee and Judy Ann Harrison (Joel) of Tallahassee; Brother, Howard Franklin "Frank" Carroll (Fay) of Woodville. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kelsey (Kasey), Meaghan, Tayler, David, Viktoria, Daniel, Jasper, Ethan, Aaron and Rose.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Heritage Assembly of God, 298 Crossway Road, Tallahassee at 3pm and the funeral service will begin at 4pm with Rev. Alice Burdeshaw officiating.
