

Joseph T. O’Neil of Tallahassee passed away July 21, 2018 after a brief illness. He was 90. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1928, he was married to the love of his life, Joan Maher, for 60 years. Together they raised a large family with love and humor. He was her devoted caregiver in the years before her death.
Joe held a masters degree in business administration and was a certified Internal Auditor. He retired from FSU as an internal auditor.
A man of strong faith, Joe devoted his life to serving God and to providing guidance and strength to his family. He was a beloved member of St. Thomas Moore Co-Cathedral, actively involved in many service and ministry roles, including the Charismatic Prayer group and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was an affectionate husband, father and grandfather. He also engaged in volunteer work throughout his retirement years including serving as president of his neighborhood association.
He is survived by his six children Mike O’Neil, Terri O’Neil Kamm, Tim O’Neil, Brigid Harris, Margaret Bukovi and Patricia Hohman; his daughter-in-law, Pam O’Neil, his sons-in-law, Richard Kamm, Tim Harris and John Hohman; and his 8 grandchildren, Sarah O’Neil, Patrick O’Neil, Georgia Kamm, Hannah O’Neil, Kat Bukovi, Kris Bukovi, Matt Bukovi, and Trevor Hohman.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27 6-8PM at Culley's Meadowwood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL, 32312
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 28 at 11 AM at St. Thomas More Co-Cathedral, 900 W Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL 32304.
