I am so sorry Mary , Joe and Tonya. Josh was such a great guy.  I have so many great memories of him. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember our many chats when you would come in to school for Tonya, we agreed on The Seminoles, Da Bears and the Black Hawks but always ribbed each other about the White Sox and Cubs. You will be missed by many but not forgotten. Pattie Thomas

I was shocked to find out that the world lost Josh on Sunday.  I was not aware of his battle.  Although Josh and I drifted apart after high school, the memories I have of him during our formative K-12 years have ALWAYS stayed with me.  We attended Plumosa Elementary, Congress Middle, and Atlantic High together.  Josh and his brother Joe were the first friends I made at an early age.  What I loved about Josh was his happy-go-lucky spirit and ability to make me laugh.  I miss the interaction we had when riding our bikes almost every day together during our time at Congress Middle.  He had an uncanny ability to recall lines from so many movies with spot-on accuracy.  His love and passion for The Beatles and sports, especially FSU football and any team Chicago related was unparalleled.  "Da Bears!"  I have fond memories of playing City-league baseball, pick-up wiffle ball games at Josh's parents' house, baseball and football games at Caloosa Park.  Josh was good at rounding up people to get involved.  Josh was quite knowledgeable of anything sports related.  There were also countless experiences we shared with birthday parties, pool parties, boating and fishing adventures, Halloween shaving cream fights, miscellaneous neighborhood mischief stuff, etc.  When I look back, I did not realize then what I know now and that is Josh taught me about the concept of teamwork, togetherness, camaraderie, and dedication.  Despite my not having siblings, he was like a brother to me.  Josh was so many special things to so many people.  He was a loyal worker to Publix, a devoted family man, just an all-around good soul.  But above all else, he was kind and thoughtful.  Thank you for your friendship, Josh, and for what you taught me.  Never forgotten, brother.

Mary, Ed and I are heartbroken for your loss of Josh. we know that he is celebrating his reunion with Jerry and Eileen. Wishing you God’s peace.

I am going to miss all the movie quotes, laughs and phones calls to put on South Park.  My brother was so happy with his wife and her family. He was blessed with all of them. ❤️
 My brother and I argued like brothers and loved like brothers. I’m gonna miss going to football games, Tailgate, Christmases, thanksgivings, Halloween… Everything is new now. But I know that he’s standing there right with me along with my father for the rest of our journey.  Love you Joshy 

Growing up as a very close friend of Joey,  i always got to witness what it would have been like to have a brother when watching josh and joe interact. There were times i thought josh was gonna beat joey to a pulp and then as joe grew older the tides began to change, and once that happened josh an joe really became friends, and i always thought that was a cool thing for brothers to have. Josh was always  a hard worker, he worked at publix from as long as i can remember. Josh was there for me and my family when we lost our dad and i’ll always remember that, though it never surprised me, thats just who Josh was.  That was Josh. A friend, a brother, a son, a father, a grandfather. Just a perfect man and a wonderful human being that I had the privilege of calling my friend. Josh you will be missed, but never forgotten.

I remember hockey (first date), football, the beach, skate nights at the palace, school dances, a Josh cooked (Italian of course) Valentine's Day dinner, working together at Publix (where we met), singing along to Gin and Juice in his Ford Escort, and a man who meant alot to me when we were young. The biggest thing I remember about Josh was his love for his family. His pride in his Father, adoration for his Mother and most often exacerbation,  but fondly, for his Brother. That's what made him such a great guy. 

There are so many memories of our kids growing up together;  Tee ball, Little League, learning to fish, swim, ride bikes. Joining us at the dinner table most nights, just to be there.   Then there is Wendy and Josh spending nights in front of Eckerds to be early in line for Paul McCartney tickets.  Josh is a son to be so very proud of!  A kind, determined man who saw the good in everyone.   To say he’ll be missed is an understatement.  Free from pain, and with his Dad and praying for all of you.  Our prayers are with you as you navigate this sad time in your lives.
