Judy Hayes Fields, a Retirement Specialist with the State of Florida, Division of Retirement, Tallahassee, Florida, passed away at the age of 84 at Big Bend Hospice on Friday, March 6, 2026 after a lengthy battle with COPD.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hayes, she passed away Friday, March 6, 2026. Judy was born in Jakin, Georgia to Darris S. Hayes on August 23, 1941.
Judy was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, in Tallahassee FI. She had a passion for live music, ballroom dancing with her husband and bowling.
Judy graduated from Florida State Women's College in 1959.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband of 52 years, David A. Fields.
Judy is survived by her younger sister, Cindy Hayes Weddell (Mike) and dear cousins:Barbara (Lex) Chance; Tallahassee, Beverly Wheat, Athens, Georgia and Sylvia Pratt, Cincinnati, Ohio, who will miss her dearly.
Memorial Service will be a 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home at 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A fellowship will be held following the service.
