A devoted wife, Julia is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Jim Hines. Together they raised a son, Jake Hines (and wife Rachael), also of Crawfordville. Julia is also survived by her mother, Mary Callaway, one brother, Mark Callaway (and wife Sherry) and her sister, Sarah Howell (and husband Carl). Julia was preceded in death by her father, John Jones.
In addition to being a mother and home-maker, Julia spent more than 30 years employed in the service of the citizens of Florida, most recently as a program specialist with the Department of Economic Opportunity.
A follower of the Muscogee Creek spiritual tradition, Julia was a beloved member of the White Earth Tribal Town in Blountstown, Florida.
As Julia begins this next step in her journey the family requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations in her name be made to the National Stroke Association.
