Julius Marvin Rumsey

Born in Columbus, Georgia, he was the son of Harry and Ada Rumsey.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Nell; son, J. Marvin Rumsey, Jr. and Linda of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Jean Fawcett and Jack of Monterey, Tennessee; grandson, Tech Sergeant Matthew Worcester and Tiffany of Camden, Delaware; granddaughter, Kimberly Kaletcher and Thomas of Melbourne, Florida; grandson, Seth of Tallahassee, Florida; and four great grandchildren, Kendall and Breanne of Camden, Delaware and Madison and Zachary of Melbourne, Florida; sister, Peggy Flack of Walnut Creek, California.

Mr. Rumsey was an Administrative Manager for NCR Corporation for 40 years, serving in Columbus, Georgia, Miami, Florida and West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a member of Deer Lake United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Friday, October 28th at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. Graveside service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, October 29th at Culley’s Meadow Wood Memorial Park, Timberlane Road, with the Rev. Rick Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
