Kara McNeely, 21 of Tallahassee died Wednesday (11/18) in Gainesville. She was born in Clearwater and grew up here in Tallahassee and was a graduate of Pace Center for Girls. Kara always enjoyed making people laugh and was a good friend, a wonderful daughter, sister and granddaughter. She was highly intelligent and creative and enjoyed writing poems and music. She had a special love for all kinds of animals.
Survivors include her mother and step-father: Joanne and Stewart Zaritsky of Tallahassee; her father: John C. McNeely of Gainesville; maternal grandmother: A. Margaret “Nana” Drake of Tallahassee; and her twin sister: Kristin McNeely of Tallahassee.
