Kate Wells Siets

Kate was born March 27, 1926 in Powhatan, Virginia to John and Carrie L. Wells.

A devout Christian, Kate lived her life as an example of what believers should be. She loved Jesus and enjoyed spending time reading the word of God and singing the hymns of the church. She treasured her family and selflessly devoted herself to caring for them and ensured their needs were met.

Kate loved anything chocolate, flowers, stuffed animals, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and coloring books. Kate enjoyed eating out especially when that food was tacos or shrimp. She adored her black cat, Big Boy and the family dog, Precious.

She is survived by her children, William Siets Jr (Mary), Kay Cranley and Johnny Siets; Grandchildren, William Siets III, Carolyn Siets, Billy Smith, Ben Stone, Kate Bearden, Johnny E Siets, Rae Martin, Mara Freeman and Noah Siets; Great Grandchildren, William (Bubba) Smith, Macy Brown, Breanna Stone, Kara Stone, Kyra Stuadt, Bobby Ray Staudt, Alyssa Stone, Kyler Stone-Bearden, Hanna Bearden, Marek Martin, Killian Martin and Caydence Siets; Great-Great Grandchildren, Harper Clark and Isabella McMurray. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Siets family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Dogwood Room of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home | Riggins Road Chapel. Graveside services will occur Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Tallahassee Memory Gardens, 4037 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, with Pastor Mike Strickland officiating.
