A native of Wisconsin, Kay was a longtime Tallahassee resident. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Kay retired from the Department of Business and Professional Regulations as a data entry supervisor. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a giver of her heart; always putting the needs of others before her own.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronnie D. Strickland; son, Jay Strickland and his wife Trina of Tampa; her daughter, Dawn McClellan and her husband Brinton; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 14, 2013, in Immanuel Baptist Church.
