

Larry Roger Coleman, 72 of Tallahassee , FL passed away on September 10, 2015 at home with his wife by his side. He was born in Pikeville, KY to Ted Coleman and Violet Counts Coleman on May 31, 1943. He was the youngest of 6 siblings. After graduating from Pikeville High, he moved to Melbourne, FL and he relocated to Tallahassee in 1971. He worked for over 30 years with The State of Florida Department of Management Services and he retired as Administrator of the Contracts Section in 2005. He enjoyed camping and surf fishing at St. George Island, playing pool , and gardening. He was of the Methodist faith. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his oldest brother, Herbert Coleman of Pikeville, KY. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 42 years, Beverly Barber Coleman; son, Roger (Cindy) Coleman of Palm Bay, FL ; daughter, Valerie Coleman of Melbourne, FL, and his step-daughter, Jane (Dean) Golden of St. James, Missouri. Three brothers; Don (Lucky) Coleman of Melbourne, FL; Ted (Betty) Coleman of Sarasota, FL; and Joe Coleman of Sarasota, FL. Sister; Violet Osborne of Pikeville, KY. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Cody Coleman of Palm Bay, FL; T.J., Madison, and Coleman Hanson of Melbourne, FL; Shelby Ridenhour; Austin Ridenhour, and Ryan Golden of St. James, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
