

Larry Joseph Knox, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in Tallahassee, Florida. Larry was born in Columbus, Georgia, where he lived before moving to Tallahassee in 1972. He was a graduate of Columbus High Class of 1966. He retired after a career in masonry contracting. He was a World Champion Pool Player and owner of SNOOKERS Billiard Room.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Knox, daughter Kristy Knox Shear, grandson Brayden Shear, all of Tallahassee, brother Kenny Knox (Karen), a resident of Monticello, FL, and six nephews and nieces, Ray Willoughby, Allen Willoughby (Jennifer), Niki Knox Vanderslice (Ed), Michelle Knox, Will Knox (Roxanne), and Joey Knox.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, A. Ross Knox, Sr., and mother, Celeste Knox Walker; stepfather, John Walker; brothers, A. Ross Knox, Jr., and Michael Knox; grandparents, Joseph Key Blankenship and Ruby Hood Blankenship; and great grandmother, Ozella Key Blankenship.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11 AM at All Saints Anglican Church, 3945 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL. A reception will be held following the service in the Parish Hall. A graveside service will be held in Columbus, GA, at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
