A lifelong resident of Tallahassee, she worked for Florida's Game and Fresh Water fish Commission for 35 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
One of eight siblings, she is survived by her brother: Andrew A. Roberts of Tallahassee, nephew John W. Slocumb of NC, niece, Patricia N. Clemons of Port St. Lucie, among another ten nieces and nephews; as well as great nieces and nephews living across the country.
