Lois Frances Young Sanders, 81, of Valrico, Florida died Thursday, April 19, 2012.
The service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 23, 2012 at Culley’s MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel (850- 893-4177), with burial at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service at Culley’s MeadowWood Room. A native of Cordele, GA, she lived in Tallahassee for 40 years before moving to Valrico, FL in 1999. She was retired from the US Postal Service and worked for the Federal Aviation Agency. She was married 49 years to Alan Leon Sanders.
She is survived by her sisters, Martha Hill, Sue Shiver, Raymond Hill (Anne) and Bernice White (James A); son, Alan L. Sanders, Jr.( Mary Alice) of Maggie Valley, NC; and daughter, Karen Gerberick of Valrico; and four grandchildren, Lee, Paul, Deana and Sara; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
