

Lucila was born in Alaminos, Laguna, Philippines on June 15, 1938. She started Elementary at Alaminos Elementary and completed High school at Our Lady of Fatima Academy in SanPablo City. She graduated with her BS Pharmacy at College of the Holy Spirit, Manila. She also completed Bachelor of Medical Technology and went to Bachelor of Music.
From them on, she migrated to the US and has been at Leon County for over 30 years. She was well regarded among her Filipino friends who treated her like her mother. Lucila is a strong minded and hard working woman. She had her own Lucilita’s Pharmacy that she managed for many years. She took over the family Taxi business, named Lucimac. She managed a Ladies/Men Dormitory. She enjoyed hosting parties for her boarders.
Lucila is an avid traveler who always goes on religious tours and pilgrimages. She was raised to be a devout Catholic. She makes it a point to pray daily rosaries for her family. She played the piano well and had always played for her family. Her main passion is her grandchildren. She took care of each family until they were able to go to school and continue to love and nurtured them.
She loved her children with selfless dedication and support.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ricardo Averion and her mother, Rufina Fandino Averion, both of Alaminos, Laguna.
Survivors from her siblings include Edith Faylona, DMD and Minda Colago, BSM. Brothers deceased Nicetas Averion, MD and Renato Averion, MD.
From her deceased husband, Macario Argosino Abad Jr., MD, she has four children, Lucilita (Lilith) Abad Salvador, MD and her husband Expedito (Boyette) Salvador, MD, Lourdes (Lally) Abad Mosley, MD and her husband Joseph (Joey) Mosley, RT(R), Macario (Sonny) Abad Jr. II, MD and his wife, Gigi Abad, MD, all of Tallahassee, Fl and Macario Ricardo (Cary) Abad IV, PT and his wife, Rosario Abad, MHA, of Tampa, FL. She has nine grandchildren, namely Joella, Lauren, Martin, Luis, Abby, Mattheus, Pia, Anton and Justin.
A public visitation for Lucila will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 4665 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, Florida 32309. A burial will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
