

She was born in Clemons, Iowa on March 20, 1920, but soon moved to Jolley, Iowa and later to Anton, Iowa where she went to high school and met her future husband. After six years of courtship, Marian married Lynn W. Biwer. Lynn was employed by General Electric, moving frequently for his position, including living in Lynn, Massachusetts, Houston, Texas, Ormond Beach, Florida and finally upon his retirement, settled in Tallahassee, Florida. They were happily married for sixty-two years before Lynn passed away in 2004. Marian's devotion to her family came first and foremost in her life, always dedicated to her husband and two daughters, Marilyn and Barbara, and supporting everyone in her community.
Marian was a long-time real estate agent with Serpico Realty in Tallahassee and known for her strong work ethic and commitment to the company. She frequently worked with couples who were relocating to Tallahassee, making it a point to welcome them and make them feel at home. Marian was an active member of the Tallahassee chapter of the League of Women Voters, advocating for voter education and promoting voter registration. Marian was an avid bridge player and formed her first bridge group while still in high school in Anthon. She continued playing throughout her life and enjoyed playing in her neighborhood women's bridge group for many years. Marian and Lynn traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, England and Bermuda, as well as many cruises with their friends, the Castles. They saw the world together.
Marian is predeceased by her sister, Margaret Shedd Warner. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Biwer and Barbara Adams; Barbara’s children, Victoria and Paul Adams (Ellen); her brother, Marshall Stanford Shedd (Regina); as well as her three nephews, Paul Warner, Andrew and Nathan Shedd.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29th at 3:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Services will be livestreamed via Culley's Facebook page. https://m.facebook.com/meadowwoodmemorialpark/ The livestream will begin a few minutes prior to the service.
