

Marilyn Kelley passed away on February 20, 2012 at the age of 88. She was born Marilyn Jeanette Kerr in St. Joseph, Illinois in October, 1923. She graduated from Urbana High School, Urbana, Illinois and the University of Illinois, also in Urbana, Illinois. She was predeceased by her loving husband Max Kelley after almost 40 years of marriage. She worked in various positions at the Florida Education Association, United and after 41 years of service retired as their Comptroller.
Left to remember her are her four children: Nancy Kelley of Tallahassee, Janet Harper (Buell) of Panama City, Florida; Charles Kelley of New York City; and Christine Sandlin (Scott) also of Panama City; and her four grandsons: Owen Wittenberg, Tallahassee, Byron Wittenberg, Atlanta, Ga.; Chuck Jackson, Panama City; and John Sandlin, Panama City. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kelley, Birmingham, Alabama; Bertha Kelley, St. Petersburg, Florida and Mary Kerr, Rockwood, Illinois, sister Lois Moreland, Florissant, Missouri and a host of nieces and nephews. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the Timberlane Church of Christ Preschool, 3569 Timberlane School Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Thursday at the Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p m Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Timberlane Church of Christ, 3569 Timberlane School Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312, where she was an active member for over 60 years.
