Martha Blackwell Steele,97, passed away on July 2, 2013 in Tallahassee.
She was born in Live Oak ,FL, on August 3, 1915. Martha was an avid competitor, golfer and Master Bridge player. In her later years she took up competitive Ball Room dancing until 2010.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Ronnie (his wife Peggy) Collins of Tallahassee; a niece, Lynn Blackwell Denton of Philadelphia, PA; and two nephews, Rob Denton of Ashville, NC and John Denton of Portland,OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. Blackwell and Pearl Martha Smith Mills; a son, Warren Sanchez; and a daughter, Martha (Sissy) Collins.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday (July 5, 2013) at 11:00 a.m. at Culley's MeadowWood Riggins Road Chapel with visitation one half hour prior. Burial will follow at Live Oak City Cemetery.
