Maryelen Evangelides, 94, of Tallahassee died Wednesday (7/12) at Big Bend Hospice House. A native of Warren, Pennsylvania, she came to Tallahassee from Ft. Lauderdale in 1987. She retired from the Broward County School System where she had been a Registrar. Maryelen was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church and she loved crafts and arts.
Survivors include her sons: Randy (Ginny) of Grays Lake, Illinois; Larry of Winnetka, Illinois, Tracey of Tallahassee; daughter: Connie Pitts of Tallahassee; grandchildren: Jamie Pitts, Kerry (Kevin) Smith, Nick (Jenni), Chris (Natalie), Zoe, Alicia, Alex, Ellen; and numerous great grandchildren.
