Maxine Malicia McPhaul

Maxine Malicia McPhaul, 83, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. Maxine was born November 5, 1941 in Quincy, Florida. She graduated from Quincy High School and attended St Lukes School of Nursing in Jacksonville, Florida. She spent much of her 40 years nursing career working in numerous places around this country, but she always came back home.

Maxine is predeceased by her parents William Clifford and Myrtice Boykin McPhaul and her brother Joseph (Joe) McPhaul. She is survived by her sisters Martha Barrineau, Chattahoochee; Barbara O’Kane (Wayne), Havana; June Farrell (Frank), Tallahassee; Debbie McPhaul, Chattahoochee and a special sister-in-law Sandi McPhaul, Crawfordville; her brothers Michael, Jeff, Matt (Cindy) and Ted, Chattahoochee and David, Greensboro; nieces Shelia, Melissa, Katheryn and Kyndal; nephews David, Allen and Cliff.

A public visitation for Maxine will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. A committal service will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hwy 90, Chattahoochee, FL 32324.
