Michael "Mike" Alter Butler

Michael A. Butler (Mike/Bull Dog) 75, a retired Lineman for the City of Tallahassee for 28 years passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born in Bonifay, Florida to Flossie Irene Chandler and Johnny Alter Butler. He grew up in the Panama City area. After serving in the United States Marine Corp from 1966-1969, he settled In Tallahassee. There he met Barbara Ann Childers and married her six months later. They moved to Wakulla County in 1972. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and NASCAR. Mike was proceeded in death by his father, Johnny Alter Butler, Mother, Flossie Irene Chandler Butler, brothers Harvey Henry Butler and Donald Butler. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara Ann Childers Butler, son Michael C. Butler (Elizabeth), daughter Karen E. Diaz-McKenzie (Sara), seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, by Dixie and Sassy his beloved Yorkies.

Visitation will be from 6 pm-8 pm, Monday, April 3 at Culleys-Timberlane. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Tuesday, April 4, also at Culleys-Timberlane. Burial will follow at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
