Minnie L Stokley

Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00PM, Monday, January 10, 2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, EST, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee.

She was born October 17, 1922, to Nora and Bill Freeman in Midway, FL. She taught many things about life and being a productive individual that carried into her marriage with her sweetheart of 42 years C.L. Stokley. With this union there were four children Joseph Donald Stockley, Lenora Jane Green, Winfred Ann Stokley Connell,and Lindsay Lee Stokley. She was an avid crocheter, always willing to share them with family and friends. She was always known for her twelve layer chocolate cake. She was a loving mother, grand mother and great grand mother.

Survivors include two daughters Lenora Jane Green (Marshall) and Winfred Ann Stokley Connell (Bryan), sister Elizabeth Turner, brother Robert Freeman (Barbara); grandchildren Brenda Benton, Sherry Stokley, and Marshall Green II (Vicki), Hollie Tillie (Terry), Belinda Smith (Paul), Taff Stokley, Michelle Castaneda (Chris); great grandchildren Brenton Smith, Trey Benton, Elizabeth Smith, Joan Green, Austin Castaneda, Christian Stokley, Tiffany Tillie, Heather Tillie, Cross Tillie, T.J. Tillie, and Summer Stokley. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Stokley was preceded in death by her husband C.L. Stockley, two sons Donald and Lindsay Stokley, her parents Nora and Bill Freeman, brothers William Bill Freeman, Lyndel Freeman, and T.J. Freeman, sisters Margaret Weir and Dorothy Jaillete, a great granddaughter Libby Castaneda.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Fl, 32308.
