

Muriel Ingram, 89, of Tallahassee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday (9/23). A native of Monticello she came to Tallahassee in 1950. Muriel was a Registered Nurse and worked in the office of Pediatrician George Palmer, MD for many years until accepting a position in the FSU Student Health Center where she worked for over 20 years before retiring. She had been a member of Lakeview Baptist Church for 62 years. As an active member of the church she used her time and talents in many areas such as meeting and greeting at the Friendship Plaza and decorating. Muriel loved Hymnal music and cooking and baking and gardening and she was always cheering on FSU football.. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed identifying the birds by sight and sound. Out of all she did, her favorite was to be around her family and serve Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death by her husband James William "Bill" and a daughter Gail Wood, she is survived by two sons: Jerry (Cathy) of Palm Beach Gardens, Jim of Tallahassee; daughter: Elaine Hoskins (Mike) of Montgomery, AL; eight grandchildren: Laura Bellamy, James Ingram, Jeffrey Hoskins, Clayton Hoskins, Sean Ingram, Michael Ingram, Jennifer Taylor, Cindi Marsiglio; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a very dear and special friend, Jennie Daigle.
There will be a memorial service Saturday (10/24) at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in the Capital Room, Riggins Road at 11:00 AM.
