Nancy Elizabeth Pruitt

She was born in Gainesville, Fl on February 1, 1949, brought up in Monticello, Fl, and resided in Tallahassee, Fl for many years.

She went to Jefferson County elementary, middle and high schools and completed her last two years of high school at Brenau Academy in Gainesville, Ga. She earned her BS degree in Government from Florida State University. She worked as a Research Assistant for the Florida Public Service Commission.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Prentice Pruitt and Jane Vickers Pruitt Fletcher, and her beloved puppy, Maria. She leaves behind her sister, Lettiejane Pruitt, and three nieces, Rosemoon, Terri and Beth, and a nephew Prentice. She also leaves behind three special friends, Sharon Wynn, Karen Brown and Krista McGrane who helped her through her last months.

She was a great animal lover and rescued many kittens and gave them a good home. She also enjoyed playing bridge for many years. Nancy will be remembered for her dry sense of humor and care for those she loved.

A celebration of life for Nancy will be held at a later date.
