Naser Tassobi, 71, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away suddenly at his home on April 17, 2023. Born in Iran on April 22, 1951, Naser served in the Imperial Iranian Airforce where he was trained to fly F-14 Tomcats in Pensacola, FL. He left Iran as a refugee during the Islamic Revolution and briefly lived in Italy followed by a few years in Paris, France, before settling in Tallahassee. It was here, while working his way through school, that Naser received his Chemistry Degree from Florida State University. After college, Naser started his career as a chemist with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and later with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Naser took pride in the quality of his work and was respected by everyone who worked with him. His positive attitude was contagious. Naser was fluent in at least four languages and was always inquisitive, curious to learn new things. Always thinking of others with food, thoughtful gifts, and kind deeds, he would regularly volunteer with the Red Cross during storms. Naser had a love for nature. In his spare time, he could often be found hiking or biking. Appreciative, unassuming, reflective, and confident but never full of himself, Naser truly lived his life by three principles: good thoughts, good words, and good deeds.
