

Patrick “Pat” Connors, 77, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 after a short illness. He was born February 10, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey and relocated to Tallahassee 11 years ago. Pat served in the US Navy as an electrician from 1955-1957. After his release from the Navy he was an Electrician in New Jersey and for the New York City Housing Authority. Pat was a man of many talents, which included a passion for wood working and his work was often seen at various art festivals in the Big Bend Area including Saturday’s Downtown Marketplace on the Park. Pat always had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor that provided much laughter to his family and friends over the years. Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jean of Tallahassee; his children, Thomas, Laurie, Kevin, Gary and Thomas (Carolyn) Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Jimmy (Anne) Cooper of Panacea, FL, Jeannie (Barry) Gulino of Key Port, NJ and Susan (Jerry) Verrico of Sicklerville, NJ, as well as his sisters, Mary Gannon, Cherry Hill, NJ and Margaret Bannon, NJ and brother, George Connors, TN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tennille, Michael, Mark, Thomas, Jamie, Jonathan, Gerard and Keith, and a great-grandchild, Liam. He is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Connors and his mother, Mary Connors, both of New Jersey. Friends will be received Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Culley’s Meadowwood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel where funeral services will be held that day at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Roselawn Cemetery.
