He has been a stalwart for the community where your family comes from: my dad and I had  experienced his kind deeds. He served in the capacity of a father, friend and a caring elderly for the entire clan around that part of Sokhada. 
I have heard stories about his hosting of prospective in laws for quite a few grooms/brides to be or his mediating in farmer affairs while selling their crop and products or lending much needed loans to the needy.
On a sociopolitical count, he provided a healthy challenge to the status quo when it came to good governance and has left the legacy with your cousins even today!
Our family's prayers to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Pragat Satpurush HDH Mahant Swami Maharaj to have his soul rest in peace at Akshardham. 
Understandably, the loss is irreplaceable but we have to inevitably face it and my family's prayers will be to Maharaj and Swami to endow your family with the courage to handle the situation and bless your family with his virtues.
