Raymond Trusz, 82, entered eternal rest on June 13, 2025. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Ray joined the Air Force at the age of 19 and served his country with honor for 31 years as an officer and command pilot. Ray loved flying, boats, fishing, restoring classic cars, and anything that let him spend as much time as possible outdoors. But the biggest love of Ray’s life was his family. He and Mary were married for 53 years, and together created a life of love and adventure for their children. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and loved serving in ministries at Good Shepherd Church. Ray is survived by his daughters Kathleen Trusz, Kelly Urban, Laura (Keith) Broemmer, and Mary Beth (Tony) Clavenna; his grandchildren Kurt, Amanda, Molly, Jack (Lydia), Joseph, Megan, James; and great-grandchildren Henry and Eleanor. He is also survived by his brother Paul, with whom he shared a strong bond and many lifelong memories. He is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus and reunited with Mary, his “huckleberry friend.”
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home on Timberlane Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Thursday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Gary Sinise Foundation (www.garysinisefoundation.org), a cause that was close to Ray’s heart.
