

Richard Charles Bowman of Tallahassee, Florida who was born on December 29, 1956, in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, has peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. With heavy hearts, we announce his passing on October 18th, 2023, surrounded by the love and support of his family. He was 66 years old (However, he thought he was 67).
Rich is survived by his wife, Deborah Bowman, and their three devoted daughters, Alissa (Frank), Jessica (Tony), and Amanda. His grandchildren, Alyssa, Nick, Ava, Mason, and Brooks were a source of immense joy in his life. He is also remembered with fondness by his sisters, Rosemary (Scott) and Carol, and his brothers, Joe, Mark (Julie), and John (Brooke), as well as many nieces and nephews all of whom shared in the bond of family that he held dear.
Rich's journey was shaped by the profound influence of his parents, Joseph and Blanche Bowman. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his sister, Veronica and her husband, Jay, but their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A dedicated and passionate businessman, Rich was the proud owner of Pockets Pool and Pub for 25 years. Through this establishment, he formed countless connections and friendships, becoming a cornerstone of his community. His legacy will forever be intertwined with the memories of good times shared with friends and patrons alike.
Rich was a man of many interests, with a deep love for fishing that took him to serene waters, where he found solace and adventure. His appreciation for food brought people together, creating cherished moments around the dining table. Yet, his most profound passion was for his family, who he cherished above all else.
Rich's personality was larger than life. Always on the move, he was a force to be reckoned with, a dynamic presence in any room he entered. He had an infectious spirit that left an indelible mark on all those he encountered. His charisma and zest for life will be remembered and missed by many.
In celebrating Richard’s life, we honor his journey, his family, and the countless lives he touched along the way. He may have left this world, but his memory will live on, a testament to the indomitable spirit and enduring love he shared with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family invites Rich’s friends and family to join them at a memorial service to honor his life at Good Shephard Catholic Church at 4665 Thomasville Road on October 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of Life reception will immediately follow at Capital City Country Club located at 1601 Golf Terrace Drive.
Rich’s legacy will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind, and his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us through the years to come. May he rest in eternal peace.
