Richard Glenn Moody

Richard Glenn Moody passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 23, 2011.

A true Tallahassee native, Rick worked for the Centel Telephone Company, Leon County Sheriff’s Department and most recently Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Rick was many things to many people, but above all, he was a treasured husband and a wonderful father. One of Rick’s greatest loves was fishing and since his retirement, he spent much of his time doing just that. He was not only an avid fisherman; he was a turkey hunter as well. Rick’s favorite hunting grounds were in Ashland, Alabama where his daughter, Leigh Anne, lived. Although Rick enjoyed these sports, his main priority was helping his daughter, Aubry, with her school, church, and community activities. If anyone needed anything, Rick was always right there ready to help and his word was valued more than gold. Rick felt blessed for everyday he spent with his family and he loved the Lord with all his heart. He lived every day to the fullest and we are comforted to know that even though he left us too soon, he is with his Heavenly Father.

Rick will forever be remembered by his devoted wife, Rhonda Moody; daughters, Leigh Anne Blair (Reggie Blair) of Ashland AL, Stephanie M. Rankin (Roger Rankin) of Tallahassee, FL, Tiffany M. Moody of Tallahassee, FL, Aubry M. Moody of Tallahassee, FL.; four brothers, Larry D. Moody, Rodney N. Moody, Robert P. Moody, Kendall B. Moody; and one sister, Sheryle M. Donnell all of Tallahassee, FL.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Culley’s MeadowWood Timberland Rd Chapel. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Thomasville Road Baptist Church at 1:00pm. Contributions may be made in Rick’s name to The Thomasville Road Baptist Church Building Fund
