Samantha was a precious soul who will be forever missed. She was kind to me when I came to Kate Sullivan and  we taught school next to each other. Thanks for the sweetness you gave all of us. You will never be forgotten.

This world has lost another incredible person. Far too soon, and far too young.

I’ve known Samantha and Case since we were neighbors in Weems Plantation. They were such a lovely couple, full of warmth and kindness. 

I’ll never forget the day they brought their daughter home! Samantha was absolutely glowing with pride and joy! She was so happy, so full of love! 

Samantha, you were more than just beautiful, smart, and funny; you were a light. You inspired everyone around you to be better and do better.

I met Samantha in middle school. We were both Air Force 'brats' living near each other on base housing in Texas, and shared a love of Cabbage Patch dolls, swimming, slumber parties, going to the mall, and music! My sister and her brother were at the same high school. As time marched on and we moved on to different countries and worlds, I lost touch until she reached out to me on Facebook, which I was so grateful for! Even though we never had the opportunity to meet face to face again, I am thankful that I had the chance to reconnect and learn more about her wonderful daughter and her contributions to education and libraries! May you sleep well, dear Samantha.

You will forever live in our hearts! You are already so missed, and doing life without you seems so unbelievable! Love you sweet friend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sam when  she was an intern at Kate Sullivan Elementary School. Subsequently she became a teacher there, and I served her students as the Resource ESE teacher. I remember when Sam and Chase were deciding to adopt a little girl. She was so proud and she loved her so much. It was fun watching Lizzie grow up. I have a picture of her that I kept in my classroom from first grade. She had a big smile on her face and whenever Sam would come to my room I would show her this picture of Lizzie and she would proudly say "That's my girl!" .  She posted on FB throughout the years and kept everybody abreast of Lizzie's progress and successes. All the way up through to college, I cheered for her along with Sam. So imagine how shocked I was to learn that she was gravely ill. The first post I read was the post from Sam herself saying she was coming back to Tallahassee in an ambulance. My heart breaks for Lizzie at this time. She is in my prayers daily. But what I want her to know more than anything is that her mother cherished her. She loved you like only a mother could. 
She was so proud of you. All I can say is continue to do what you've been doing. She will be there with you, cheering for you, all the way. And so will I. 🌹

I remember the first time I met you. We just clicked. I always look forward to seeing that beautiful face at the family gatherings and just converse together. It's like we knew we were the "cool sisters" and have the shirt that matched our souls. I didn't have the privilege to know you long, but I'm truly blessed and honored to have had any time with you, at all. I told your brother, this world will be a lot dimmer without you here. But I know you'll still shine through, in them, in all of us, for that matter. We love you, Sam.

I’ll never forget our LegoLand field trip when our 4th grade team spent most of the day in the botanical gardens. We knew none of the kids would end up there with their chaperones, so we claimed it as our quiet escape. We spent the time laughing and enjoying each other’s company, wandering among the flowers while the chaos of the park carried on around us. It was such a peaceful little pocket on an otherwise hectic field trip. That was Sam, always finding beauty, always making space for joy. She will be deeply missed.
